We’re looking to expand our development team so we can move faster and create even greater value for our customers. We expect you to have an eye for detail and be ready to hit the ground running.

We’re wanting to offer more value to our current customers as well as scaling our infrastructure and technical systems to cope with future demand.

What you’ll be doing

  • Work across the entire product building process, from unearthing complex problems to delivering game changing solutions that have meaningful impact on the lives of millions of children
  • Writing and reviewing application code
  • Working with Product teams to define new features
  • Documenting the systems you help build
  • Coordinating with engineering leadership to define and prioritize engineering projects
  • Working with support to triage and debug technical support requests
  • Assisting in ongoing infrastructure monitoring and improvements

Skills and experience

  • 3 or more years working with Ruby on Rails or an equivalent MVC framework
  • A good understanding with SQL (PostgreSQL in particular)
  • Competent with AWS tools and features (orchestration tools a bonus)
  • A strong commitment to quality
  • Solid knowledge of testing principles
